This Week on Voices from the Frontlines:
Vaccines into South LA, The Third World and Beyond

Tuesday | July, 26, 2021 | 3 PM PST

This week on Voices from the Frontlines, We’ll be joined in conversation with Adrienne Bambou to speak about her work to get vaccines into South LA.

Adrienne is partnering with Clinica Romero to host a vaccination drive at Yardanos Ethiopian Restaurant on Tuesday July 27th 2021 from 9am-2pm. She has invited the Strategy Center along with seven other organizations to support this initiative. If you need a vaccination or even your second vaccination you can use this link to RSVP for Tuesday’s Vaccination Drive: bit.ly/south-la-vaccines

Eric Mann, Channing Martinez, and Adrienne Bambou will speak about both the importance of getting vaccinations into South LA and into 3rd world nations. We’ll also address the hesitancy around getting vaccinated in the US and with vaccines made by the same US medical industry that has for years, used their power to implement US sanctioned genocide against 3rd world people inside and outside of the US. Although it’s important to name this history, we want to be clear that we fully support and critically urge everyone to get vaccinated.

Please see full details about Vaccine drive this Tuesday in the invitation from Adrienne Bambou:

We are inviting you to our second vaccination drive, that is taking place in our community, and would like to have you as a partner.

Starting this month, we are setting up pop-up vaccination sites all over L.A. County with our medical partners at Clinica Mosenor Romero. They are providing Moderna for adults and Pfizer for youth ages 12 and over. At SALEF, we believe it is crucial to get our communities vaccinated. That is why I have reached out to you, seeking potential partnerships in collaborating to set-up pop-up vaccination sites for youth, families, and community members.

We have two pop-up vaccine clinics where the immediate communities could really benefit from diapers, wipes, formula and well anything we could donate for our young community members. Let me brief you on our events.

One was at little Ethiopia, on July 10, 2021. The second one is on Tuesday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 2p.m. at Yordanos Ethiopian Restaurant, located at4020 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90008

(323) 815-9262

There is a large African immigrant community (majority Ethiopian) as well as Latino and Indian immigrant communities that reside in that region. Mostly families. Our partners are Clinica Monsenor Romero and Little Ethiopia Cultural Resource Center.

We will have the honor to host a press conference, with Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, who will handle the price received by one of the people who won the raffle for the California COVID-19 give away.

Please find a google form link, that will allow you to register people who would like to get vaccinated, on July 27. 2021.

You can share it with partners and even patients. It would make registration, more accessible.
