Voices Radio: A Conversation with Eric Mann, Alan Minsky, and Channing Martinez on the 70th Anniversary of Al Nakba

On May 15th, 2018 Eric Mann, Channing Martinez, and Alan Minsky hosted a KPFK Fund Drive on the 70th Anniversary of Al Nakba, or The Catastrophe in Arabic. In 1948 the new government of Israel, with the support of U.S. President Truman and the United Nations Security Council forcibly expelled 800,000 Palestinians from their land in violation of human rights and anti-genocide statutes against forced dispersal of colonial peoples.

The Voices from the Frontlines program took place during the recent Israeli murders of more than 60 Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The mood on the show was one of terror, fear, horror, pain, and deep support for the people of Palestine and trying to answer the question, “What in the world can we do? The Fund Drive raised a record number of contributions because it also allowed listeners to purchase a DVD copy of the wonderful film, Al Nakba, excerpts from which were played on Voices. We are proud to play the program, please click below, and give great thanks to Kiyana Williams for editing the program for you.  We welcome comments at eric@voicesfromthefrontlines.com
