This week on Voices From the Frontlines Eric hosts a conversation with Manuel Criollo, and Channing Martinez, about The Strategy Center’s recent delegation to Washington D.C. to meet with the Department of Justice about the 1033 Program. Eric and Channing provide a play by play description of what happened in the meeting, including a power analysis between the Obama administration, The Police and the Civil Rights groups in the room. Manuel Criollo speaks about the Strategy Center’s past campaigns that made demands on President Obama, and speaks about the bizarre dynamics in the room of un-Armed Civil Rights Groups meeting with overtly armed Police and their government.

Summary of Film

Die Verlorene Zeit (Remembrance) depicts a remarkable love story that blossomed amidst the terror of a German concentration camp in 1944 Poland. This impossible passion fuels the courage of a Polish prisoner who manages to rescue his Jewish girlfriend. Against all odds, they escape the camp and survive a treacherous journey to freedom. But during the chaos of the end of the war, they are forcibly separated and each is convinced that the other has died. More than thirty years later in New York, the [happily] married 52-year-old woman accidentally finds out that her former Polish lover is still alive. And she has to see him again.
