Mississippi Freedom Summer: Tougaloo College President Dr. Beverly Hogan

During the Civil Rights movement Tougaloo College was one of few institutions which played an historic role in the struggle for human rights in the state of Mississippi. Dr. Beverly is the first Female president to hold the position of president at Tougaloo College.
In this show Eric and DR. Beverly discuss the important role that the college played during the civil rights movement and the important role that Tougaloo College continues to play in carrying on the traditions and legacies of the Civil rights movement.
Dr. Beverly is heading an effort to establish a Civil Rights Endowed Chair at Tougaloo College this chair will help to honor and carry on the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement. You can help in this effort by clicking here to donate funds.
