MTA Voted To Raise Bus Fares, But The Struggle Continues For A Socialized Public Transportation System
Manuel Criollo of The Labor Community Strategy Center discuss with Barbara lott-Holland of The Bus Riders Union the recent bus fare hike set to go into effect on September 1, 2014.
According to MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) ninety percent of bus and rail riders are minorities. Hence, an increase in bus fares will disproportionately impact minorities.
Manuel will also take call-ins on the air from voices listener to hear their concerns over the fare hikes, and to discuss the subject.
