Afro-Asian Composer and Activist Fred Ho: On Social Justice and Inner Harmony

Fred Ho is a one-of-a-kind Chinese American baritone saxophonist, composer, writer, producer, political revolutionary, and self-described cancer warrior and extreme raw foodist. His music, his world view, and his politics are very inspiring and thought provoking.

Fred spoke and played his saxophone at an event that the Strategy Center hosted in his honor at the Southern California Library for Social Studies and Research. After Fred spoke and played, Eric Mann participated in a round table discussion with him, and professors Robin Kelley of UCLA and Diane Fujino of UC Santa Barbara. It was a provocative and inspiring three hour political and musical event.
