Eric discusses the voting rights referendum movement for Trayvon Martin that is taking place throughout the nation, and the work that the Fight For The Soul Of The Cities campaign is contributing towards that effort.

Eric Also reads an article written by Robin D.G. Kelley (Kelley is the Gary B. Nash Professor of American History at UCLA). Kelley’s article entitled A New Freedom Vote: Justice for Trayvon and the Fight for Democracy” articulates the historical links between the democratic civil rights struggles of the past and the current  pro-justice action movements for Trayvon Martin.

Eric also takes call-ins from the listeners so that the peoples voices and thoughts on the issues discussed can be expressed and shared with like minded progressives.
