Aquilina Soriano-Versoza, Director, Pilipino Workers Center S. California
Aquilina Soriano-Versoza, Executive Director of the Pilipino Workers Center of Southern California joined me for a wide ranging discussion that started with understanding the national struggle to win legal rights for domestic workers — a Bill of Rights for Domestic Workers. The Pilipino Workers Center is part of a California statewide coalition trying to get the bill of rights passed into law by the California State Assembly and Governor Brown. The California bill, AB 241, is one of many Domestic Worker bills that groups are trying to get passed in other states, as part of a national strategy, supported by the National Domestic Worker Alliance.
