Alex Caputo-Pearl, lead teacher of the Social Justice Academy at Crenshaw High School, and Reverend Eric Lee, president of the Los Angeles branch of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference talk to us about recent efforts by Los Angeles School District Superintendent Deasy to undermine Crenshaw High School’s extended learning cultural model, and to implement Reconstitution at the school. We’ll also discuss the community movement against Reconstitution and what demands and alternative policies the community is fighting for.
